Vice President of Marketing
Elke Hirschman is vice president of marketing for Trojan Battery Company. In this role, Hirschman is responsible for leading Trojan’s overall global product and business marketing efforts for its renewable energy, golf, transportation, aerial platform, floor cleaning and recreational product divisions. Hirschman oversees product development, pricing policies, and sales and marketing strategies for Trojan’s domestic and international operations. During her tenure at Trojan, Hirschman was responsible for successfully launching the company’s AC Series floor machine batteries, the HydroLink™ watering system for deep cycle flooded batteries, the OverDrive™ AGM 31 anti-idling battery for heaving trucking applications, and the industry-leading AGM and gel battery products.
Prior to joining Trojan in 2007, Hirschman held several marketing leadership positions at renowned computer storage and data backup/recovery companies. While serving as Director of Marketing at Quantum Corp., Hirschman managed 10 global product launches which resulted in a more than 50 percent increase in revenue for the company. She also directed the integration of five company acquisitions which involved the successfully transition and merging of brands, budgets and employees. This led to significant expansion of Quantum’s market strategies. As Director of Marketing at Wyle Systems, Hirschman was responsible for directing the marketing programs for the company’s computer and storage products distribution business. In this role, Hirschman generated a 25 percent increase in sales by implementing innovative sales growth strategies and incentive programs for its partners which included Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Quantum and Maxtor, which is now Seagate. In addition, Hirschman held a variety of marketing positions with TMP Worldwide and the Professionals in Human Resources Association.
Hirschman received her MBA from Pepperdine University and her Bachelor of Arts in business administration and marketing from the University of Southern California. She is an active member of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA). Hirschman also is an active supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation participating in fundraising events for the Race for the Cure.
