Sinoboom's work platform products are used in stadiums and plants, petrochemical sites, shipbuilding, municipal works, ports, complex construction, commercial maintenance, and more. When Sinoboom opened a factory in Mexico, it needed a trusted battery provider to improve logistics and shipping, while enabling more direct communication with customers.

Trojan Battery’s expansive network of regional distributors helped meet those requirements, while the award-winning AES AGM batteries provided reliable deep cycle capability, maintenance-free operation, strong charge acceptance, and voltage stability under traction loads.

To deliver reliability to our customers, our suppliers need proven experience and strong foundations. Trojan’s century-long history in battery innovation, as well as its long-standing OEM heritage, made it a natural fit.”

Stephani Jauregui Yañez, Sinoboom Indirect Purchasing Engineer

North American Roots Aid Distribution

The global MEWP industry is expected to grow to $21.7 billion by 2030. North America currently leads this market with a 35% share. Given this expected expansion, partnering with a highly reputable global battery manufacturer is crucial for Sinoboom to capitalize on long-term growth goals.

Of course, proximity means nothing without quality batteries. Trojan AES AGM batteries deliver up to 3x the cycle life with high, sustained performance compared to the standard AGM. The battery maintains high capacity in extreme deep-cycling (up to 100% DoD), partial charging, and challenging environments.

Trojan’s AES AGM batteries also meet the J305-AES and L16-AES battery tray configurations of the most commonly used MEWP and AWP equipment in the region. Having this familiarity and reputation help improve consumer confidence.

“Not only do Trojan’s AES batteries meet the dimensional and weight compatibility requirements, but customers all over the world already trust the Trojan brand,” explained Yañez.

The established regional presence also made Trojan an ideal candidate from an operational standpoint. An expansive distribution network in North and South America i helps reduce downtime for logistics and fulfillment, while the technical service network improves responsiveness to requests. Trojan’s after-sales support also helps customers understand proper installation, charging, maintenance, and storage to optimize battery operation and life.

Maroon Standard Brings Unmatched Performance

MEWPs are often subject to rugged conditions that can put battery durability to the test. Constant vibrations can cause structural damage to power sources, which can inhibit performance and create safety hazards if not monitored and maintained. Trojan’s AES AGM batteries are built to withstand these conditions, reducing the possibility of degradation and minimizing the long-term costs associated with regular repairs and replacements.

In addition to consistently high cycle durability and stable voltage, Sinoboom sought a power source with efficient recharging and maintenance-free operation, ensuring that their AWPs and MEWPs can meet daily needs without interruption. Trojan AES AGM batteries are built to endure this workload and offer exceptional uptime, even at extreme temperatures. End users can also rest easy knowing Trojan’s extra-durable Polyon® cases are ideally suited for heavy service applications. Along with maximizing lifetime value, this reliability enhances safety–a top priority on job sites.

Trojan’s batteries underwent a 100-hour integrated durability test to determine performance under traction and hydraulic loads. Sinoboom engineering continuously monitored the AES AGM temperature during the test, as well as charge and discharge behaviors and voltage stability. This testing confirmed that the batteries yielded effective runtime per cycle, as well as proper charge acceptance and thermal performance during the full 100 hours.

Trusted Partner for Sustained Growth

As business expands in the Americas with the new Mexican facility, scalable after-sales service becomes more important to best assist customers. Increasing sales comes with a greater need for responsive technical support. Trojan’s established network helps Sinoboom satisfy customers while achieving its growth objectives. With rapid parts availability, customers across the Americas can ensure overall fleet uptime to achieve a greater ROI.

Sinoboom also has its sights on additional MEWP models, such as higher-capacity vertical lifts and hybrid models. Offering an expanded portfolio potentially widens its target customer base, leading to increased sales opportunities. A partner such as Trojan, with its robust portfolio of battery solutions to fit all types of MEWPs and AWPs, extensive distributor network, and proven support for a century will help make that expansion seamless.

"Opening a new factory to fuel growth in a new region is a significant achievement on its own, and Trojan Battery’s support has given us the confidence and stability needed to make the most of this expansion," said Yañez. "With potential new models on the horizon, we know that Trojan will be a vital asset."
